Do I have a claim?

If you are cannot work in your usual occupation due to injury or due to a medical condition you may be able to claim a total and permanent disability benefit under your :-

  • Income Protection Insurance (if any); or
  • Superannuation Policy.

What if I have had the condition for years?

You may still be able to make a claim even if you have had a medical condition or injury which is now causing you to be totally and permanently disabled, for years.

How do I make a claim?

A claim is made by obtaining the claim forms from the insurer or  the trustee of the superannuation  company and completing them. It is important to complete these forms accurately as they are usually required to be sworn on oath.

How long does a claim take?

We are usually in a position to submit all your claims forms within 6 months from the date of instruction. It is usual to have a preliminary decision  from the insurer or a request for further information within 9 months from the date of instruction. 

How much can I claim?

The amount you can claim will be specified in the policy and we can usually advise you of this at your first consultation.
